Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu

Permanent, Full Time

Christchurch – Ōtautahi (multi-site)

Kia hiwa rā!

We are looking for a Farm Data & Technology Coordinator to join our Ngāi Tahu Farming team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in connecting farm operations, data, and technology across our farming portfolio.

He kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

This role focuses on supporting the effective use of farm data, systems, and technology across Ngāi Tahu Farming operations. You will work closely with Farm Managers, operational teams, and leadership to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and useful for decision-making across the business.

You will contribute to improving how information is gathered, reported, and used, while supporting the implementation and ongoing improvement of farm systems and technology. The role provides a practical connection between on-farm activity and reporting, helping translate data into insights that support day-to-day and longer-term farm performance.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working across both farm operations and data, is comfortable supporting others to use systems, and takes a practical, hands-on approach to improving how things work.

He Kōrero Mōu – About You

You will bring a blend of practical experience and curiosity about data and systems, along with:

  • Experience in farming, agricultural systems, or data/technology environments
  • Confidence working with systems, data, and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Ability to translate information into clear, useful insights
  • A collaborative, supportive approach with a willingness to build capability in others
  • Adaptability and openness to working across different farms and teams
  • An openness to embrace Ngāi Tahu values and grow your cultural understanding
