About The Role

The Production Planner will play a key role in optimising our manufacturing operations and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand while optimising machine and labour resources.
  • Experience determining routing steps and estimating manufacturing times for new components or products from engineering drawings.

  • Establish and maintain robust planning processes that support accurate data and effective production scheduling.
  • Analyse machine capacity and labour availability, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks.
  • Develop and monitor production metrics to enhance Fabrum's ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and minimise production delays.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve production challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules, resource allocation records, and inventory data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing, engineering, or machine shop environment.
  • Strong understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator who can build strong working relationships across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive positive change.
  • Professional qualifications in Planning, Scheduling, Inventory Management, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
