Senior Business Development Manager – Horizontal Works

Enable Networks | North Island (Auckland preferred)

Lead developer-led growth across targeted markets, building relationships with key developers and identifying Horizontal Works opportunities from the ground up.

Help shape the future of connectivity across New Zealand

Enable is one of New Zealand's leading fibre network providers, connecting communities and enabling growth through world-class digital infrastructure. As we continue to expand our North Island presence, we are seeking a commercially savvy and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to identify, influence and secure new development opportunities.

Why join Enable

?

  • Drive North Island growth by building relationships with key residential developers and industry stakeholders.
  • Influence major development projects from the planning stage through to delivery.
  • Competitive package including a base salary, performance incentives, vehicle allowance, travel support and additional employee benefits.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional account management role. You'll be responsible for identifying residential development activity across the North Island, building relationships with developers, councils, planners and civil contractors, and positioning Enable as the preferred fibre provider for new developments.

Operating autonomously, you'll map opportunities, develop a strategic pipeline, engage decision-makers early, and guide commercial opportunities through to successful outcomes. While the role offers a high level of autonomy, it is backed by an experienced and supportive team, established processes, and a structured approach designed to help the successful person build momentum, achieve early wins and feel part of a wider national growth team.

You'll become the face of Enable in the market, providing valuable intelligence and helping shape the organisation's regional growth strategy.

About You

You may come from property development, infrastructure, civil construction, utilities, telecommunications or another complex B2B environment where long sales cycles and stakeholder influence are critical.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Proven business development experience with a strong track record of generating new opportunities and revenue growth.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Commercial acumen, strategic thinking and strong pipeline management capability.
  • Experience navigating complex projects, multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
  • A proactive and self-driven approach, coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive Base salary,
  • Performance incentives linked to development wins and housing lot volumes secured,
  • Vehicle allowance, KiwiSaver, Wellness incentives, Health Insurance
  • 12-month fixed-term opportunity, but other employment options considered.

If you're motivated by creating opportunities, influencing major development decisions and building a market from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
