A strong approach to risk management sits behind that commitment, and this role plays an important part in ensuring ASB’s Third Party risks are well understood, actively managed, and governed in line with our regulatory obligations and risk appetite.
We’re looking for a Manager Supplier Governance to support how we manage material service providers across the bank.
Te tūranga | The role
This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner closely with Business Owners, Risk, Procurement and Compliance to ensure our supplier governance practices are consistent, robust and aligned to regulatory expectations.
You’ll provide SME guidance and help uplift capability across the business, ensuring suppliers are effectively governed across the full lifecycle.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of supplier governance frameworks, standards and controls across ASB’s Material Service Provider population
- Identify, assess and escalate supplier risks, incidents and control weaknesses in line with policy and risk appetite
- Oversee supplier performance and contractual obligations to ensure services are delivered as expected
- Support the end-to-end supplier lifecycle including onboarding, ongoing management and offboarding
- Maintain audit-ready records and ensure governance activities are well documented and traceable
- Provide practical guidance to Business Owners to support consistent application of supplier governance practices
- Contribute to reporting and insights on supplier performance, risk and compliance to support decision making
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to uplift supplier governance capability
Ō pūkenga | What you’ll bring
- Experience in supplier governance, third party risk, or operational risk within a regulated environment
- Understanding of regulatory expectations (e.g. BS11, CPS230) and how they apply to supplier management
- Strong analytical capability and ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills across business, risk and compliance functions
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
