As a Commercial Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of customers by fostering strong, long-term relationships. You will deliver tailored financial solutions and provide proactive insights to meet clients’ evolving needs.

Operating within a defined portfolio, you will focus on simplifying banking for customers by gaining a deep understanding of their businesses and offering strategic, value-driven solutions that support their goals and drive mutual success.

Key responsibilities of the role include

Establishing and growing profitable relationships within a portfolio of Business customers

Developing a deep understanding of customers’ business needs and providing proactive, tailored solutions to support their current and future objectives

Actively promoting value-added materials, workshops, and specialist support (both internal and external) to customers

Driving the development and growth of the customer portfolio while maintaining strong relationships with long-standing clients

Enhancing ANZ Business’ presence in the market through effective networking and clearly demonstrating our value proposition

Collaborating closely with teams across Business and the broader bank to support customers’ growth and ongoing success

Delivering excellent customer service to build and strengthen lasting relationships and professional networks

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

Proven experience in relationship management, business development, and/or portfolio or account management

Previous experience in banking, finance, or accounting (desirable but not essential)

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Established networking capabilities to build and strengthen customer relationships while maximizing and growing portfolios

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders effectively
