You'll provide trusted analytics leadership, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver actionable insights that create real impact.
Te tūranga | The role
As a Senior Insights Specialist, you'll combine deep analytical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to solve complex business challenges and support better customer, product and commercial outcomes.
You'll lead insight initiatives from problem definition through to recommendation, helping decision-makers confidently navigate opportunities and challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading analytics projects that deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support business goals.
- Translating complex data into meaningful, relevant and commercially valuable insights.
- Designing, developing and implementing analytical models to answer business questions and identify opportunities.
- Partnering with stakeholders to influence decisions and improve customer and commercial outcomes.
- Championing analytical thinking and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to help grow capability within the wider analytics community.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the bank to deliver collective insight and solve complex challenges.
- Contributing to technical standards, tools, policies and best practice within the Analytics Practice.
Ō pūkenga | About you
You'll be a naturally curious and proactive analytics professional who enjoys solving complex problems and transforming data into compelling stories. You're comfortable working in ambiguity, challenging thinking constructively, and using evidence-based insights to influence outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Advanced SQL and/or SAS expertise, with 7+ years data analytics experience.
- Experience in working with banking or financial services highly recommended.
- Strong experience using Tableau or Power BI.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with complex data.
- Experience delivering meaningful insights that drive decision-making and business outcomes.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- An ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- A passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing and helping others succeed.
- The confidence to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement.
