A rare opportunity has arisen for an accomplished leader to join a highly regarded New Zealand financial services organisation and take responsibility for a significant regional advisory network spanning Wellington, Christchurch, Nelson and Blenheim.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive performance, develop talent, champion strategic initiatives and lead positive change across a large team of Investment Advisers
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Advisory, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership across the region, ensuring exceptional client outcomes while fostering a high-performance culture.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a large team of Investment Advisers a
- Driving adviser growth, succession planning and continuous learning
- Developing high-calibre advisers
- Enhancing efficiencies through technology, communication and best practice
- Leading regional business development and marketing initiatives
- Delivering strong financial outcomes through budgeting, reporting and performance management
- Building a culture of professionalism, integrity and client-first advice
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Supporting strategic projects and driving positive change across the business
About You
You are an influential and commercially astute leader who enjoys developing people and building high-performing teams.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Significant leadership experience managing medium to large teams
- A background in wealth management, private banking or financial services
- A proven ability to drive performance and deliver strategic outcomes
- Strong coaching, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
- Experience recruiting and developing successful advisers
- Sound commercial acumen with experience in budgeting and management reporting
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and embracing new technologies
- A leadership style built on integrity, professionalism and putting clients first
