About the Role
Longland Project Limited is a busy construction company in Auckland specialising in residential building and house construction. We are seeking a full-time Building Associate to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising construction sites and organising and coordinating the material and human resources required to ensure efficient and compliant site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in planning and organising construction activities.
- Oversee daily activities on construction sites to ensure work progresses according to plans and schedules.
- Interpret building plans, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Coordinate site work programmes and schedules.
- Monitor on-site operations and ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Organise and allocate labour resources, including subcontractors and workers.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate the supply and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment required on-site.
- Liaise with tradespeople, contractors, and suppliers.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction site supervision or coordination, or a diploma in Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a relevant field.
- Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and safety practices.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and resources.
The employee will work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and must be available to work on weekends. The hourly rate ranges from $38 to $45. Candidates must be New Zealand citizens or New Zealand resident visa holders. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
