The Role
To manage the delivery of major capital and zone substation projects to meet customer requirements safely, on time and within budget. Ensure all works delivered meet client and Northpower standards through effective scheduling, planning, and delivery. Ensure transparency in communication through regular liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, design engineers and technical field staff at all times. Manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale electrical distribution projects
- Lead scheduling, resourcing, and budgeting to deliver outcomes
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure effective project execution
- Monitor project financials, forecasting, WIP, and reporting
- Oversee safety, compliance, and quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

About You
- PMP certification (essential) with 5+ years’ experience in project management within electrical distribution or power systems
- Demonstrated success delivering major electrical infrastructure projects
- Advanced MS Project skills (scheduling, baselining, resource planning, critical path analysis, and forecasting)
- Solid understanding of NZ3910 construction contracts
- Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence
- A strong commitment to health and safety
