Sponsorships & Operations Lead - Audio

New Zealand Media & Entertainment (NZME)

Are you someone who loves getting into the detail, building better ways of working, and making complex campaigns run seamlessly?

We’re looking for an Operations & Sponsorships Lead to join our Audio team at NZME. This is a pivotal role supporting some of our biggest client partnerships across iconic brands like ZM, The Hits and Radio Hauraki.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on organisation, loves a spreadsheet, and is always thinking: “how can we do this better?”

You don’t need radio experience — just a great attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional work.

Own Key Audio Sponsorships (end-to-end)

  • Lead the delivery of high-value sponsorship campaigns from start to finish
  • Build and manage detailed timelines, ensuring nothing is missed
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver sponsorships seamlessly
  • Lead clear and proactive client communication
  • Deliver accurate reporting, insights and post-campaign wrap-ups

Lead Sponsorship Renewals & Growth

  • Own renewal timelines for key clients, ensuring opportunities are never missed
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and clients to drive ongoing partnerships
  • Identify opportunities to grow and extend existing sponsorships

Drive Operational Excellence Across The Team

  • Create and improve ways of working, processes and systems
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation across campaigns and team resources
  • Manage key operational tools including trackers, timelines and reporting
  • Ensure audio ratecards and audience/social metrics are kept up to date and accurate
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement smarter, more scalable ways of working

About You

You might come from an EA, project coordination, agency, sponsorships or operations background, what matters most is how you work.

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • You enjoy building and improving systems and processes
  • Comfortable working in spreadsheets, timelines and structured documents
  • Proactive and solutions-focused — you anticipate problems before they happen
  • Strong communicator who keeps people informed and aligned
  • Confident managing multiple moving parts without dropping the ball
  • A positive, adaptable approach and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus: comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency
  • Experience in media or radio is also a bonus — but not essential.

Why NZME?

  • Work across some of New Zealand’s most loved audio brands
  • Be part of a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Play a key role in delivering major client partnerships
  • Have real ownership and the ability to shape how things work

All applicants will be asked about their working rights in New Zealand. E.g., Citizen, resident, visa, no visa etc.
