Production Planner
Silver Fern Farms Ltd
Te Tūranga | About the role
Working as part of our Production Planning team, this Production Planner role plays a critical part in ensuring we deliver the right product, at the right time, across our network.
You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining forward production plans, balancing demand requirements with livestock availability and site capability. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with livestock planning, sales, and site operations teams to ensure plans are achievable, aligned, and deliver optimal outcomes.
From building forward plans through to monitoring execution, you’ll continuously adjust and refine plans in response to changing inputs. You’ll communicate changes clearly to stakeholders, manage delivery risks, and take ownership of resolving issues to maintain customer service levels.
By optimising production plans across sites, you’ll help maximise value from each animal processed while minimising wastage and costly rework such as airfreight.
This is a permanent role based in our Dunedin Hub on Princes Street.
