Assistant Project Manager

An exciting opportunity to join our collaborative Project Management team, based in Savills Auckland office. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the end-to-end delivery of multiple small to medium-scale, complex projects across the full project lifecycle. This includes design management, consenting, procurement, construction monitoring, contract administration, and project close-out.

Working closely with Senior Project Managers, you will contribute to achieving successful project outcomes aligned to cost, time, and quality expectations. The role provides hands-on exposure to all phases of building and construction projects, while building your capability in coordinating stakeholders, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Assisting Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects
  • Involvement in all phases of design, construction and commissioning of building and construction projects, to agreed cost, time and quality targets
  • Assisting in the administration of consultant and construction contracts
  • Coordination of project responsibilities
  • Understand and implement the Company’s policies

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in project management, construction or client-side consulting
  • Relevant industry-related tertiary qualifications
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft software packages
  • Exceptional organisational skills and professional presentation
  • A team oriented approach and proactive work ethic
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative to drive personal productivity
