Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Specialist Rehabilitation Service, Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen
The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and / or programme has the required educational and Postgraduate Dean's approval.
This stimulating and enjoyable post is primarily based within the Specialist Rehabilitation Service predominantly based at Woodend Hospital but may include some outpatient and community work.
The service comprises of several inpatient units: Neurological Rehabilitation Unit (NRU), Orthopedic Rehabilitation unit (ORU) Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (SRU) and the LINKS Unit which includes amputee, orthopaedic and elderly inpatient beds The service also provides input into the major trauma patients within Aberdeen Royal infirmary.
In addition to a busy inpatient service, the Service also has extensive links with community services with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. This includes outpatient clinics and the Horizons Rehabilitation Centre and sometimes in hospitals elsewhere.
