About The Role
As a Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Gallagher Security products, processes, and systems meet relevant quality and compliance standards across national and international markets. Working within the High Security & Assurance Value Stream, you’ll help build clear compliance frameworks, assess new and existing products against evolving regulatory requirements, and communicate any remediation needed to support compliant, world-class solutions.
This is a high-impact, highly connected role. You’ll partner with development teams, international stakeholders, Group Compliance and Legal, certification bodies, and customers to embed compliance from the ground up. From coordinating external testing to translating complex regulations into practical guidance, you’ll make compliance clear, actionable, and built in, not bolted on.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep up to date with product-related regulatory requirements across national and international markets, assessing potential risk and business impact.
- Maintain Gallagher Security’s compliance register and ensure internal stakeholders understand upcoming requirements and the decisions these may affect.
- Research relevant compliance changes, new trends, and emerging requirements that may impact new products or applied technologies.
- Coordinate testing activity with external laboratories, including arranging test hardware, configuration, documentation, timelines, and progress updates.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with accreditation and certification bodies, regulatory bodies, and key testing laboratories across regions.
- Translate regulations and standards into clear, practical requirements that help development and product teams design with compliance in mind.
- Provide technical advice and support to regional sales teams so they can respond confidently and accurately to customer compliance queries.
- Facilitate cross-departmental forums and maintain visibility of key compliance risks that may impact the Gallagher Security business.
About You
You’re a technically savvy problem-solver who enjoys making the complex simple. You can interpret standards, cut through ambiguity, and guide teams toward practical, compliant outcomes. You’re collaborative, curious, and confident influencing across a wide range of stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a similar compliance role, preferably within the electronic security industry.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical and/or Electronics is preferred.
- A sound understanding of national and international product regulatory regimes such as RCM, CE, FCC, and UL.
- Ability to decipher standards, perform or support technical tests, and translate requirements into simple, usable language.
- Knowledge or experience across the Security industry, PLC, mechatronics, electronics, software, or cyber security would be advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders.
- Ideally, experience with the Gallagher Security product suite, including hardware installation experience
- Comfort using AI tools, alongside a good command of English, both written and verbal.
Working at Gallagher
You’ll be part of a global, future-focused organisation where creativity and innovation are valued and supported. Working in an environment driven by collaboration, innovation, passion, craftsmanship and mutual respect, you’ll help achieve our team purpose to translate vision into exceptional creations.
