We have an opportunity for a General Manager – Product Core Ledger Replacement to lead one of BNZ’s most significant enterprise transformation programmes, reshaping the bank’s core ledger and product landscape.

What are some of the key responsibilities the General Manager will own?

• Partner with the Business and Technology leadership to lead the end-to-end delivery of BNZ’s core ledger replacement programme.

• Own strategic planning, prioritisation, and execution to deliver enterprise-wide outcomes and benefits.

• Provide commercial leadership across significant programme investment, including budget, resourcing, and financial performance.

• Lead and align enterprise stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure successful, on-time delivery at scale.

• Drive product simplification, migration, and improved customer and colleague experiences.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?

This is a rare opportunity to lead a large-scale transformation programme that will redefine BNZ’s core banking platform and customer experience. You will work closely with all enterprise stakeholders, including delivery partners, to ensure a high level of collaboration and communication to meet programme milestone delivery.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

We are looking for someone who is proficient in leading and nurturing a team in a matrix leadership model, spanning across various capabilities, and implementing change through agile practices. You will also have:

• 10–15 years’ experience in senior product or proposition leadership roles.

• Strong commercial acumen, including ownership of significant budgets or P&L.

• Ability to lead and influence across diverse teams and stakeholders in an enterprise setting.

Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments is preferred.

What will success look like for the candidate in this role?

Success will be achieved by delivering great customer & colleague outcomes through the development and implementation of product simplification, migration, and delivery of the core ledger.
