About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded, relationship-driven professional to join us as our Commercial Partnerships Manager.
This role is responsible for growing Tennis New Zealand’s revenue by building and managing strategic partnerships, developing new commercial opportunities, and supporting philanthropic initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, partners, athletes, and internal teams to deliver meaningful, high-impact collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Strategy
- Develop and implement innovative revenue and sponsorship strategies
- Identify and secure new commercial partnerships
- Support monetisation of digital platforms and content
Commercial Partnerships
- Build strong, long-term partner relationships
- Lead partnership activations and ensure delivery of all sponsor benefits
- Collaborate on campaigns, reporting, and engagement initiatives
- Manage onboarding of new partners and maximise retention
Events & Activation
- Support delivery of partner activations at events including the ASB Classic
- Coordinate branding, hospitality, and partner experiences
- Manage VIP and alumni engagement
Philanthropy & Funding
- Support donor and corporate giving strategies
- Develop grant applications and funding opportunities
- Strengthen long-term donor relationships
Financial & Reporting
- Contribute to budgeting, reporting, and financial tracking
- Monitor partnership performance and outcomes
About You
You’re a proactive, commercially savvy relationship builder who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be currently residing in Auckland New Zealand or willing to relocate.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in commercial partnerships, sponsorship, or sales
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Experience delivering campaigns, activations, or events
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities
- The ability to think creatively and drive new revenue opportunities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative mindset and high energy approach
- A background in sport, marketing, or business (or similar) is advantageous.
