As an Associate Director in our Finance & Operations Transformation team, you will lead end-to-end engagements, working closely with clients to understand their priorities and deliver impactful, value-driven outcomes. You’ll support organisations to improve finance operating models across people, process, technology and data, while also delivering commercial finance solutions such as cost modelling and enterprise performance management (EPM) design to enhance decision-making and performance.
You’ll play a key leadership role on engagements, guiding teams through ambiguity, maintaining delivery momentum, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients. You’ll also support the development of junior team members through coaching, on-the-job learning, and ongoing feedback.
Beyond delivery, you’ll build strong client relationships, contribute to business development activities, and support the continued growth of our Finance & Operations practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. Based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, this role primarily supports corporate clients, with opportunities to work across a range of leading organisations.

- Lead and deliver complex finance transformation engagements, advising clients on how to evolve their finance function to drive commercial value.
- Lead FP&A transformation with driver-based planning, scenario modeling, integrated business planning, and performance management.
- Partner with CFOs and senior executives to design and implement future-fit finance operating models, optimise process and become digital/AI enabled.
- Apply enterprise performance management (EPM) and financial planning expertise to implement forecasting, budgeting, and reporting tech tools (ie Anaplan).
- Provide coaching, development, and strong delivery leadership to the team.
- Support business development, including leading proposals, originating opportunities, and contributing to practice growth.

- 7+ years’ experience in a finance-related role, ideally combining industry and consulting/professional services experience.
- Background in commercial finance or accounting (e.g. FP&A, reporting, analysis)
- Experience in professional services (e.g. audit or consulting), with exposure to advisory and project-based work.
- Proven experience leading and delivering projects or engagements in a client-facing environment.
- Strong leadership and coaching capability, with the ability to develop junior team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and Boards.
- Commercially minded, with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of drive, charisma, and relationship-building ability, with a desire to grow, progress, and contribute to practice development.
