Courier Driver

We are looking for a Courier Drivers. As a Courier Driver, your role is critical to our customer experience in ensuring freight or product is sorted, processed and delivered correctly in Taranaki region.

We are contracted to NZ Post to provide a range of parcel pick-ups and delivery services. Objective is to make sure the safe delivery of mail and parcels to the households and businesses in timely manner.

Good communication skills

To fit for heavy lifting up to 30kg

Clean NZ class 1 full driving license (equivalent overseas License is also acceptable)

Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role is needed.

Can do attitude to work in different weather conditions

Be available to work from Monday to Saturday with early morning start (with minimum six days, hence flexibility is the key)

Have an accurate eye for detail and a sense of urgency

You shall be responsible for the diligent and faithful performance of

Organizing and sorting parcels as per the driving route

Taking extra care of dangerous good parcels (like Perfumes)

Driving Duties

Completing all required documentation

Ensuring the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition and carrying out minor maintenance tasks, if required

Attending to the usual reporting procedures associated with driving.

Attending to the daily checking of vehicle (oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety conditions and equipment security, road user charge licence, hub odometer readings, etc) and keeping the employer informed of the need for road user charges and maintenance required.

Such other duties as the employer may reasonably require.

Pay Rate - $25.00 to $26.00 P/H (this is the minimum & maximum rate at the commencement of the job)
