We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant/Business Partner to join our Finance team based in Auckland.

This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll work closely with our leadership team, support business performance through insightful reporting and analysis, and play a key role in improving systems, processes and financial controls across a multi-division manufacturing business.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs

  • Analyse business performance and investigate variances to budget

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes

  • Manage general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations

  • Support rebate and customer reporting programmes

  • Maintain and develop reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting

  • Partner with operational managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making

What We're Looking For

You may be a developing Financial Accountant looking for your next step, or an experienced Management Accountant seeking a broader commercial role.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A CA qualification or similar

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

  • Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel capability

  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 experience advantageous)

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business

  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset

Manufacturing, inventory or distribution experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
