We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant/Business Partner to join our Finance team based in Auckland.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll work closely with our leadership team, support business performance through insightful reporting and analysis, and play a key role in improving systems, processes and financial controls across a multi-division manufacturing business.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:
Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs
Analyse business performance and investigate variances to budget
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
Manage general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
Support rebate and customer reporting programmes
Maintain and develop reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting
Partner with operational managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making
What We're Looking For
You may be a developing Financial Accountant looking for your next step, or an experienced Management Accountant seeking a broader commercial role.
Ideally, you will have:
A CA qualification or similar
Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel capability
Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 experience advantageous)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
Manufacturing, inventory or distribution experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
