Laboratory Technician

We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team at Fulton Hogan. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help deliver good work by collecting samples, carrying out compliant laboratory testing, and providing accurate analysis and reporting to the required standards.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Complete laboratory testing and reporting for required materials in line with Fulton Hogan laboratory and IANZ requirements.
• Collect samples and support testing programmes to required specifications.
• Develop test methods and apply appropriate international and local methodologies.
• Maintain equipment checks and calibration so the lab is running accurately and reliably.
• Provide analysis of results to clients for the relevant focus area.
• Support a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture by following processes, reporting incidents, and looking for safer, better ways of working.

• Relevant laboratory or materials testing experience.
• An understanding of quality assurance and material properties.
• Knowledge of surface friction testing techniques.
• Operate Safe Bronze Card, or the ability to obtain one.
• IANZ accreditation achieved, or working towards it.
• A practical, proactive approach and the ability to think ahead.
• A team-focused attitude, strong listening skills, and a willingness to learn.
• A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job well.
