This role is suited to someone who is flexible, organised, pro-active and able to multi-task, with experience in dealing with Commercial and Asset Finance.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue and growth for the business. The key focus will be onboarding new brokers, managing key relationships, and writing new business. This role suits someone who is customer focussed, self-motivated, a trusted adviser for our brokers and who can work collaboratively with the flexicommercial team.
What Does An Average Day Look Like?
You will…
- Identify and generate leads for the development of new Broker relationships
- Leveraging industry research, existing networks, cold / warm calling, attending meetings, conducting presentations, and attending PD Days and Conferences.
- Meeting with and obtaining information from potential new deals
- Preparing customer proposals and negotiating key commercial terms with proposed Vendors / Introducers
- Structuring and pricing proposals for new deals
- Work with Account Managers and Operations to ensure that deals are processed efficiently.
About You …
This role will suit someone with knowledge and experience in the Broker and Aggregator Market, matched with sound technical knowledge of Asset Finance and an understanding of relevant legislation. Your approach to sales is professional, execution focused with the ability to perform under pressure and strike a balance between customer needs and our business imperatives.
- Key Account/ Business Development Manager experience, preferably with asset financing or commercial lending.
- Strong business acumen and management of complex business customer relationships.
- Knowledge of financial adviser regulation in New Zealand, including the Financial Advisers Act and Code of Professional Conduct for Authorized Financial Advisers.
- Business/finance qualification is desired.
Note: Applicants need to be able to travel to regional areas (NZ) to develop and maintain Broker relationships.
