Concrete QC

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused Concrete QC Technician to join our client’s team in Hastings. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for testing, checking, and recording concrete quality to ensure all products meet required standards. You’ll be working across both site and lab environments, supporting plant operations and maintaining accurate quality data.

Details & Responsibilities

• Concrete testing including slumps, spreads, yields, air tests, and cylinder sampling

• Preparing, storing, monitoring, and testing concrete cylinders and blocks

• Equipment calibrations and ongoing maintenance of testing tools

• Aggregate testing including moisture, grading, and material checks

• Onsite testing and communication with plant operators, supervisors, and customers

• Recording and entering accurate data into Air Bridge, Verifi Portal, and Excel

• Supporting audit preparation, including equipment checks and documentation

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant testing environment

Requirements

• Flexible with working hours as workloads may vary

• Physically fit and able to lift up to 30kg concrete barrels

• Strong admin and data entry skills with good attention to detail

• Ideally experience in civil construction, concrete testing, or warehouse/admin roles

• Willingness to learn and grow, with full training provided and career progression opportunities

• Minimum Class 1F licence required (travel to customer sites may be required)

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

• Must provide two strong work referees

• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand (no overseas applicants at this stage)
