About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Lead - Data & Analytics to join our Innovation and Digital team on a 12-month fixed term, based in either our Wellington or Auckland office. This role is all about enabling the smooth flow of work across both transformation initiatives and BAU delivery within our Data and Analytics function. You'll help ensure priorities are clear, work is well sequenced and capacity is aligned so the team can deliver sustainably and predictably.
Responsibilities
- Enabling the effective flow of work across the Data and Analytics team, ensuring both BAU and transformation work are visible, prioritised and delivered effectively
- Balancing demand and capacity across initiatives and operational support, making trade-offs visible and supporting informed decision-making
- Coordinating delivery across multiple initiatives, managing dependencies, risks, issues and blockers to keep work moving
- Owning and maintaining an integrated view of delivery across priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks and resourcing
- Creating clear visibility of delivery status, milestones and constraints to support proactive decision-making
- Working closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to manage backlog priorities and scope
- Embedding fit-for-purpose delivery practices, tools and team rhythms that support predictable delivery and continuous improvement
- Supporting agile ways of working across the team, including backlog management, delivery forecasting and team planning
- Managing delivery through tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence to maintain visibility and reporting
- Supporting governance and assurance activities including planning, reporting, financial tracking and stage gate requirements
- Building strong relationships across business, technology and vendor partners to keep everyone aligned and accountable
- Looking for opportunities to improve delivery practices, ways of working and team effectiveness across MAS
Qualifications
- Experience in a delivery or project management role within a data and analytics environment
- Proven experience delivering data and analytics initiatives that drive meaningful business outcomes
- Strong understanding of delivery and project management disciplines, including planning, risk and dependency management, budgeting and reporting
- Confidence balancing resources, sequencing work and resolving competing priorities in a complex environment
- Strong understanding of agile principles and practices, including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience working with delivery and work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Confluence
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving capability, with a proactive and commercially minded approach
- Financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting and reporting
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Relevant delivery or project management qualifications are advantageous
- Alignment to MAS's purpose and values, with a genuine focus on delivering great outcomes for our Members
