Position Summary
MBX Biosciences is seeking a strategic and visionary Global Commercial Asset Lead to join our growing team. Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer, the Global Commercial Asset Lead will be a pivotal member of the commercial team, responsible for the end-to-end global commercialization strategy and launch of our first product, canvuparatide. This high-impact role requires an exceptional leader with a "can-do" attitude who can thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and highly visible environment. The successful candidate will drive all aspects of brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution, working in close partnership with a diverse set of cross-functional teams. This is a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of MBX Biosciences and build a brand from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Global Commercial Strategy and Launch Leadership
- Develop and own the global brand strategy, positioning, and go-to-market plan for canvuparatide, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and market opportunities.
- Lead the cross-functional Global Asset Team to define the product's value proposition, patient segmentation, and customer-channel marketing strategies, Lead market entry assessments, determine market entry sequencing, and lead all other strategic initiatives related to commercial launch readiness and launch optimization
- Serve as the single point of accountability for global launch readiness, providing direct support to key markets during critical pre- and post-launch phases
- Represent the commercial function on the Program Leadership Team, the highest cross-functional governance body overseeing clinical development and program execution.
- Build and lead a high-performing brand team, attracting and developing top talent.
- Partner with Clinical and Medical affairs to lead lifecycle management and the evidence generation strategy
Market Insight And Competitive Intelligence
- Leverage market research and analytics to deeply understand the patient journey, customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Incorporate market insights and best practices to inform the global brand strategy and ensure a differentiating approach.
Cross-Functional And Regional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, IT and R&D to provide commercial input throughout the product development process.
- Serve as a strategic integrator, ensuring seamless execution and communication between global and regional teams.
- Facilitate regular strategy reviews and knowledge-sharing forums with local markets to drive global-to-local alignment.
Marketing Execution And Resource Development
- Lead the development of core global promotional and educational materials for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients.
- Develop global campaigns, best practice playbooks, and modular content to empower successful local market implementation.
- Drive global congress strategies and key opinion leader (KOL) engagement plans to build scientific presence and brand visibility.
- Design and implement market development initiatives to build awareness and prepare stakeholders for launch, working with agencies, partners, and internal teams.
P&L And Performance Management
- Own, develop, and regularly update the global revenue forecast for the canvuparatide across markets
- Own and manage the global commercial opex budget for canvuparatide, ensuring strategic investment and ROI-driven execution.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the impact of global and local/regional commercial activities.
Ethical And Regulatory Compliance
- Drive a strong compliance culture, ensuring all commercialization activities adhere to industry standards and company SOPs.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in biopharmaceutical commercialization.
- Proven U.S. product launch experience is essential; global experience preferred
- Experience in Rare Disease and/or Specialty commercialization is strongly preferred.
- Deep strategic marketing expertise, including branding, segmentation, and life cycle management.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results without direct authority.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented, and patient-centric mindset.
Travel & Location
You will be expected to travel periodically, based on business needs, including attending Together Weeks, Together Days, and functional meetings as requested by the Company. This role is expected to be on-site an average of three days per week, unless otherwise requested.
