The Role
Our busy 4-chair practice, loctated in the Anglesea Medical Precinct, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our passionate team, high-performing team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, between 8:00am-5.30pm. This is a clinical role providing chairside assistance for our dentists and oral health therapists. You will work within a highly experienced team that prides itself on effective communication, teamwork and high clinical standards.

What we’re looking for
· Chairside dental assistant with reception experience is essential
· Confident, warm communication with patients and the clinical team
· Strong organisation skills and excellent time management
· Comfortable with accurate data entry and keeping clinical records up to date
· Experience with ‘Exact’ Online systems (advantageous, not essential)
· Team-first attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Reliable, positive, fun, friendly, proactive and has a professional attitude
· Genuine interest in the dental industry, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
· First aide training certificate – core immediate is preferential
· Experience with sedation – has completed the monitoring the sedated patient course
What you’ll do
· Provide high-quality chairside assistance across a range of procedures
· Maintain excellent infection prevention and control standards
· Accurately enter and update clinical notes and patient information
· Support patients with home care guidance and post-treatment instructions
· Assist with stock ordering and keeping clinical supplies organised
· Support the admin team with appointment scheduling as required
· Complete basic laboratory tasks such as making mouth guards, whitening trays, take extra oral photos, intra oral scans and cerec crowns.
Eligibility: You must have previous experience as a Dental Assistant and must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
