Mō te tūnga | About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Integrated Safe Care Response (ISCR) Programme. ISCR responds to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in State care with a programme of work that will ensure Tamariki and rangatahi are safe, supported and receive tailored care no matter where they are in the care system.

The Project Coordinator's role is to support the successful delivery of project initiatives within our ISCR Programme. The Project Coordinator works closely with the project managers and is responsible for providing project, reporting, logistical, secretariat, and general coordination support. In addition, the coordinator will develop project schedules to support the management of dependencies and milestone tracking.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in supporting a Project Manager and Project Team in a complex programme.
• Experience in producing project schedules
• Experience in maintaining project plans and control books (including risk register, issues register etc)
• Working knowledge of project methodologies
• Experience in producing effective presentations, status reports and other project artefacts
• Effective time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate complex ideas and build and maintain rapport with others
• Experience working in a complex and evolving environment
• Appreciation of cross-cultural issues, concerns, and knowledge of tikanga Māori, te ao Māori, and te reo Māori

In addition to the above key requirements, the following attributes are desirable:

• Knowledge, understanding and ability to respond to the diverse needs, experiences and views of tamariki, rangatahi, parents and caregivers that Oranga Tamariki interacts with.
• Experience working in operational change projects would be valuable.
