As Café Manager, you will lead the end‑to‑end catering operation at Fly Thru Café, Christchurch Airport. You’ll ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality food and beverage service while driving team performance, customer satisfaction, and strong commercial outcomes. This is a permanent full time position.

Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily café operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members, including rostering, training, and performance management.
  • Manage budgets, stock control, and financial performance, optimising revenue and controlling costs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and handling feedback effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and operational policies and procedures.

He kōrero mōu | About you

  • Proven experience in a Café Manager, Retail Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving performance.
  • A confident leader with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
