PLANT MECHANIC

NZ NUTRITION CARE LIMITED is a Food Manufacturing company based in Hamilton. Large-Scale OEM/ODM Nutraceutical Manufacturing Expert in New Zealand.

We are looking for 1 full-time PLANT MECHANIC to join our team. As a PLANT MECHANIC, you will be work a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production equipment.
• Conduct scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Install, test and commission new processing and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, mixers, encapsulation machines, tablet presses, bottling lines and packaging systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reliability.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with Health and Safety at Work Act requirements and company procedures.
• Liaise with production managers and engineering contractors regarding plant maintenance requirements.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory as required.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years relevant industrial maintenance experience OR
• NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above,No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's qualification or above.
• Experience working in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or FMCG production environments preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production systems.
• Physically fit with a clear criminal record.
