Project Manager - Digital Projects

Connetics

At Connetics, we deliver energy solutions that power a cleaner, brighter future. We design, build, and maintain electrical infrastructure across Aotearoa, supporting communities and helping keep the network running safely and reliably.

As we continue our digital transformation journey to replace our existing ERP, we're investing in technology and new ways of working to improve how we deliver services, support our people, and create better outcomes for our customers and communities. After a successful first release, our next phase is kicking off which will be the most significant and complex in the transition to our new digital landscape.

About the Role

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Digital Projects team on an 18-month fixed-term contract through to November 2027, with an ideal start date of July 2026.

Reporting to the Digital Projects lead, you'll lead the delivery of key workstreams within our Digital Transformation Programme, helping implement business solutions enabled by digital technology.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the project team, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, aligned to business needs, and successfully adopted across the organisation.

You'll be involved in:

  • Owning delivery of assigned project scope, timelines, and outcomes
  • Developing and managing integrated delivery plans across business, technology, and vendor teams
  • Coordinating stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical and fit for purpose
  • Managing dependencies, risks, issues, and project governance activities
  • Supporting business readiness, implementation, and adoption of new solutions
  • Tracking milestones, reporting on progress, and driving delivery outcomes

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience delivering digital, technology, or system-enabled projects
  • Ability to work in a hands-on project delivery environment
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and external vendors
  • Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, and delivery governance
  • Focus on achieving business outcomes and user adoption
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to deliver projects that create meaningful business impact
  • Collaborative and cross-functional team environment
  • Modern offices with free onsite parking and flexible working options
  • Health and wellbeing perks including flu vaccines, annual skin checks, and mini medicals

We know great candidates don't always tick every box. If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you have relevant skills or experience, we'd still love to hear from you.

Please note: Connetics requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check, along with a medical assessment including a drug and alcohol test.
