Service Manager

We are a leading cleaning services provider delivering high-quality, reliable cleaning solutions to commercial and residential clients. We are committed to service excellence and customer satisfaction. We seek a proactive Service Manager to oversee daily operations. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The hourly rate is NZD $30–$35, depending on skills and relevant experience. based in CHCH Canterbury

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cleaning business and ensure the efficient delivery of services.
  • Monitor service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance, implementing improvements where required.
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer complaints and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and review customer service policies, procedures, and after-sales service programmes.
  • Prepare staff rosters, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand Health and Safety legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Recruit, induct, train, supervise, and conduct performance reviews for staff, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, productivity, and service efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence. Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification at Level 4 or above or in management, finances or any relevant area of study If not, at least 2 years’ relevant work experience may substitute for a formal qualification
