Within this, the Regulatory Services Group has oversight of three significant regulatory systems – Anti‑Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), Gambling (land-based and online), and Charities.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Intelligence Analyst - Operational to join our Regulatory Intelligence and Insights team.
Our team values the specialist discipline of operational intelligence, and we are looking for an experienced practitioner with strong technical expertise to join us. This role works across all our regulatory systems, providing technical leadership across our operational intelligence work programme and expert advice to the Manager Intelligence and Insights.
The role is expected to set and maintain high technical standards for operational intelligence, lead work on complex entities and high-priority investigations, drive continuous improvement in systems and processes, and actively build the capability of other analysts. Specialist expertise in tools and methods such as financial intelligence, blockchain analytics, and open-source intelligence will be highly valued.
We are looking for someone with advanced capability in intelligence tradecraft, strong collection methods and techniques, sound judgement about information limitations, and excellent attention to detail. You will bring a strong understanding of how intelligence supports operational decision-making, along with the ability to coach and mentor analysts and build effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Investigations.

The experience, knowledge, and skills you will bring to this position will be:
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex operational intelligence work
- Excellent analytical skills across quantitative and qualitative information
- Advanced technical knowledge of operational intelligence tools, methods, and tradecraft
- Proven ability to produce high-quality written reporting for a range of audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
- Experience in regulatory intelligence or financial intelligence is desirable
