ASB's Rural Corporate team is a team of experienced rural bankers who manage the portfolio of ASB Rural's largest Rural customers ranging from corporate farming operations to large scale family businesses. We're experts in understanding the banking requirements for farming businesses which have significant complexity and risk to deliver great banking outcomes for both our customers and the bank.

Te tūranga | The role

You’ll manage a portfolio of Rural Corporate customers, building trusted relationships and delivering a high standard of service and support.

As a Rural Corporate Account Manager, you’ll work closely with a supportive Relationship team to help structure lending solutions, prepare terms sheets and documentation, review financial information, and present lending proposals to Rural Credit.

A key aspect of this role is developing and maintaining strong relationships across the Agribusiness sector, including with customers, industry specialists, and professional partners. You'll help to identify opportunities to connect customers with the wider ASB Rural and ASB Group — ensuring their needs are met now and into the future.

Ō pūkenga | About you

Reflecting the typically higher degree of complexity involved in Rural Corporate business flow and credit proposals, you will need to be up to speed in interpreting financial statements and providing quality risk assessment for the Bank.

Preferably tertiary qualified your sound knowledge of the banking industry and rural sector will be complemented by outstanding communication, organisational and time-management skills.

You will have a high level of business acumen and interpersonal savvy, due to the client base you will be looking after which includes New Zealand's leading rural and Agri business people.
