Traffic Management Branch Manager

We are looking for an experienced and client-focused Traffic Management Branch Manager to join our New Plymouth - Taranaki branch to lead the success of our branch, our clients, and our crews.

As our new Branch Manager, you will be the pivotal link between our clients and the safe and effective delivery of Traffic Management solutions. This is a hands-on role focused on effective resource allocation, providing day-to-day strong leadership and management of the safety of our crews, and the effective operational delivery and high-quality delivery of compliant traffic management.

Leading from the front—this is a dynamic, full-time role where no two days are the same, including reactive after-hours and weekend work. We are pumping! You will be responsible for the health and success of the branch, driving action on the ground as you manage day-to-day operations, travel between work sites, and client engagements.

What you will be responsible for

• Oversee the daily planning and scheduling of operations to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of TTM services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and a focus on long-term retention.
• Collaborate closely with clients and our TTM planning team to develop and review safe and compliant Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Manage the Branch in achieving performance targets.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A solid background in temporary traffic management, civil infrastructure, or a related construction field.
• Strong experience in client and account management.
• Proven leadership skills in both operations and people management.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• A current STMS Qualification.
• A full NZ Driver's Licence.
• Experience in an operational leadership or coordination role.
• Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and problem-solving with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with Google Workspace.
