Project Manager - Technology

Christchurch Airport has bold ambitions to be a global leader in sustainable aviation and technology. We’re seeking an experienced and pragmatic Project Manager to join our Digital and Technology team – delivering projects that make a genuine difference for our business and customers.

About The Role

This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end technology projects aligned with CIAL’s strategic priorities.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure projects are well planned, effectively managed, and successfully delivered. You’ll bring a strong focus on outcomes, collaboration, and disciplined delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technology projects with a pragmatic, customer-focused approach aligned to business priorities
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and delivery milestones
• Identify and manage risks and issues to support successful project outcomes
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including appropriate escalation
• Work with vendors and delivery partners to support project execution
• Ensure projects follow established delivery frameworks, governance processes, and reporting standards
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of project delivery practices and tools
• Support project prioritisation, resource planning and delivery reporting
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practice

About You

You’re an experienced technology project professional who enjoys bringing people together, navigating complexity and delivering results. You'll be comfortable working across both technical and business environments and have the communication skills to translate project information into meaningful business outcomes.

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end IT or technology projects
• Experience delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors
• Strong planning, risk management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Broad IT understanding across infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems
• Relevant project management certifications or training
