Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We're looking for an Arborist - Reactive & Planned Works to support vegetation management around Auckland's water infrastructure.
In this field-based role, you'll assess and classify vegetation works, prepare works plans and ensure activities comply with resource consent conditions and the Tree Management Plan. You'll respond to reactive network faults and customer requests, coordinate specialist contractors where required, and ensure reinstatement works are completed safely and to a high standard.
You'll also support incident and emergency response, helping restore services quickly while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and customer outcomes.
Mōu koe | About You
You will bring:
- Arboriculture experience, ideally in utilities or infrastructure environments
- Understanding of regulatory or resource consent requirements
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience coordinating contractors and dealing with customers
- Ability to complete field documentation accurately
- Full Class 1 driver licence (Class 2 an advantage)
You're practical, proactive and comfortable working in a role that combines field work, planning and emergency response.
