About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got 2 exciting Power Systems Technician roles just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide specialist technical power systems and electricity protection, making a real impact.

• Perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection relays
• Carry out secondary injection and functional testing of protection and control systems
• Inspect and test instrument transformers (CTs/VTs)
• Maintain, test, and fault-find on switchboard control circuits, interlocks, trip circuits, and auxiliary systems
• Use and maintain specialist test equipment (secondary injection kits, relay test sets, insulation testers, multimeters)
• Understand and comply with your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and all associated regulations, standards, and approved codes of practice
• Understand and comply with all Omexom health and safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Supply (Power Technician) level 5 or similar
• EWRB registration with current electrical registration
• Must have three years hands-on experience in power systems and electrical protection work to industry standards
• Sounds computer skills
• High voltage protection system commissioning experience and confidence to make decisions autonomously
