Sims Beauty Limited is looking for skilled and passionate Hair & Beauty Therapist to join our us. The ideal candidates will have experience in providing professional hairdressings, beauty treatments, excellent customer service, and a genuine passion for helping clients look and feel their best.

Position Details

Position: Hair & Beauty Therapist

Hourly rate: $28 – $30 per hour

Guaranteed hours: 30 per week

Maximum hours: 55 per week

Location: Tauranga

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their hair and beauty care needs, preferences, and desired outcomes.

• Provide professional advice on hair care, skincare, beauty treatments, and suitable products.

• Perform hair cutting, trimming, styling, blow-drying, and finishing services.

• Provide hair colouring, highlighting, balayage, toning, and corrective colour treatments.

• Carry out chemical treatments including perming, straightening, keratin, and smoothing services.

• Recommend and perform hair treatments to improve hair and scalp health.

• Perform facials and skincare treatments tailored to client needs.

• Provide waxing, threading, and hair removal services.

• Conduct manicures, pedicures, nail care, and basic nail enhancements.

• Perform eyelash and eyebrow treatments including tinting, shaping, lifting, and extensions.

• Deliver relaxation and therapeutic massage treatments where qualified.

• Ensure treatment rooms, workstations, tools, and equipment are cleaned, sanitised, and maintained.

• Adhere to all health, safety, hygiene, and infection-control regulations.

• Follow salon policies and industry best practices.

• Stay updated with current hair, beauty, skincare, and wellness trends, products, and techniques.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Level 4 qualification or 2 years of relevant experience.

• Knowledge of a wide range of hair & beauty therapy techniques and treatments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional presentation and strong attention to detail.
