Were on the lookout for an energetic, people-loving Facilities Manager to lead a vibrant, co-located government workplace supporting up to 1000 occupants across three agencies. This is more than just a facilities role - youll be right at the centre of a modern workplace, , in a green-star building environment where collaboration, innovation and great experiences matter. Youll build strong relationships across teams from all three agencies, confidently balance different needs, and think outside the box to find smart, practical solutions.
Leading a small team and working closely with contractors, youll keep everything running smoothly - from day-to-day operations and budgets to contracts and service delivery - while staying calm and adaptable when things get busy. Youll also play a key role in overseeing some exciting upcoming changes and creating a great first impression by running engaging site inductions. Were looking for someone with at least 3 years management experience whos organised, tech-savvy, a strong communicator both spoken and written, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same - someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and loves making a real impact every day.
What you bring | Nou te rourou
- A Minimum of 3 years in a senior property/facilities management role with a good understanding of operational requirements for facilities
- Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Demonstrated track record of managing a facilities team who are organised, and effective and able to manage a variety of functions and priorities simultaneously
- Understand that this is not a 9 to 5 job, and that on call and afterhours work is a prerequisite of the role
- Be a trained first aider (or be prepared to be one)
- We highly value demonstrated competency in m tauranga M ori, tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi application in a workplace setting. To support this work, proficiency in te reo M ori, or a strong commitment to developing te reo M ori capability is welcomed
- We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and applying cultural capability in their practice

Starting salary for this position: $97,270 - $107,570 + kiwisaver
