Manager - Facilities
Statistics New Zealand
The role | Te tūnga
We’re on the lookout for an energetic, people-loving Facilities Manager to lead a vibrant, co-located government workplace supporting up to 1000 occupants across three agencies. This is more than just a facilities role — you’ll be right at the centre of a modern workplace, , in a green-star building environment where collaboration, innovation and great experiences matter. You’ll build strong relationships across teams from all three agencies, confidently balance different needs, and think outside the box to find smart, practical solutions.
Leading a small team and working closely with contractors, you’ll keep everything running smoothly — from day-to-day operations and budgets to contracts and service delivery — while staying calm and adaptable when things get busy. You’ll also play a key role in overseeing some exciting upcoming changes and creating a great first impression by running engaging site inductions. We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years’ management experience who’s organised, tech-savvy, a strong communicator both spoken and written, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same — someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and loves making a real impact every day.
