Palm Beach County Employment Information

- ELIGIBILITY.
The Site and any related services are available to you, provided that you can form legally binding agreements under applicable law.
- LICENSE.
Palm Beach County grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable, revocable license to view and temporarily download a copy of the materials displayed on the Site solely for your personal and non-commercial use for yourself. - USER SUBMISSIONS.
The Site provides a forum for you to submit employment documents. By submitting your information to the Site, you agree that you will provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself. - is not permitted by Palm Beach County, including, but not limited to, any unauthorized advertising materials, unsolicited promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam mail", "chain letters", pyramid schemes, franchises, distributorship, club membership, sales arrangement, or otherwise unacceptable materials; or
- Violate another's privacy rights or personal rights by abusing the materials, including, but not limited to, harassing or "stalking" another person, sending unsolicited e-mails, and collecting another's personal information;
- Breach or attempt to breach any security measures of the Site;
- Use any device, process, or mechanism to monitor, retrieve, search, or access, the Site or any material without Palm Beach County's prior written consent;

- SPECIFIC USAGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
In addition to the general responsibilities listed in Section 6, you agree to:

- Post materials for which you have all the necessary rights or licenses;
- Use your own judgment, caution, and common sense in managing and applying for job opportunities and information offered by or obtained from the Site.
- EMPLOYMENT.
You understand and agree that Palm Beach County does not warrant that you will receive any employment or job offers through the Site. You shall use your own judgment, caution, and common sense in evaluating any prospective job opportunities listed on the Site.
If selected as a candidate for a specific job for which you have applied, your employment application provides a release that allows Palm Beach County to conduct the necessary reference checks, background checks, civil and criminal litigation checks, national and warrant check, and education, certification and professional license verifications to supplement your candidate profile. - PRIVACY.
Palm Beach County may store information submitted by you. See Section 5 for more details regarding your submission. In addition to the potential disclosure of user-identifiable information as stated in Section 5, Palm Beach County may disclose aggregate information to potential or retained clients, such as general demographics and statistical compilations. Because you are seeking employment in the public sector, a public pronouncement or disclosure may be necessary as governed by applicable state law or an employer’s internal guidelines. By accepting this Notice, you acknowledge that any information that you submit as part of the job search and selection process is subject to disclosure to third parties unless specifically exempted by law.

- INDEMNIFICATION.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Palm Beach County and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, and insurers from any claims or demands, including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees and legal fees and costs, resulting from or arising out of your Use of the Site, your application materials, or your violation of any terms and conditions of this Notice.
- DISCLAIMER.
You acknowledge and accept that: (a) you assume all risks related to or resulting from your usage, viewing, or access of the site. - TERMINATION.

Palm Beach County shall not be responsible for maintaining or returning your application materials.
- GENERAL.

Candidate's Code of Ethics
Palm Beach County Expects Honesty And Professionalism In All Of Our Dealings With You As a Candidate. By Submitting Your Application Materials You Agree To
- Not embellish or overstate the facts on any application materials
- List all employment history using the application profile and if additional space is required, attaching information that identifies total employment history
- Include all dates (month/year) for each employer including hours worked per week
- Accurately recap the level of responsibility and level of authority for each position
- Act in good faith throughout the recruitment and selection process
A candidate may be removed from the recruitment process in question and/or future recruitments if a candidate:
- Has made false or misleading statements of material fact on the application profile or other required documents
- Has used or attempted to use, any unfair method to obtain an advantage in an examination or appointment
- Does not possess one or more of the requirements as specified in the public announcement
- Receives or gives assistance resulting in an unfair advantage designed to aid an applicant in obtaining a job will be disqualified from the recruitment process and may be barred from future examinations
- Or employee receives such assistance or provides such assistance to an applicant they may be disciplined up to and including termination
- Directly or indirectly obtained confidential information about the content of an examination, or has taken part in compiling, administering, or scoring an examination
- Fails to submit a complete and accurate application within the prescribed time limits
