About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our Resthome Dual Unit as Unit Coordinator at William Sanders Retirement Village in Devonport, Auckland. This is a Full-time position working Sunday–Thursday, 0730–1600.
This role supports a dual unit environment and requires confident leadership and strong clinical capability to deliver high-quality, resident‑centred care across varying levels of need. This role offers variety, leadership responsibility, and the chance to positively influence the lives of residents and your team every day.
As the Resthome Coordinator, you'll lead with purpose and make a real difference by:
- Provide clear leadership, coaching, and direction to support a collaborative, engaged team and a strong resident‑centred approach to care
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture that supports a safe, enjoyable, and engaging workplace
- Apply sound clinical judgement and leadership to support care delivery across a diverse acuity environment
- Oversee personalised care plans that reflect the individual needs of each resident
- Build strong, professional relationships with residents, families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards
- Champion excellence in interRAI assessments and support ongoing clinical development
- Engage with staff across all shifts to strengthen relationships and ensure everyone feels supported
- Communicate clearly and collaboratively to build trust and alignment
- Contribute as a key member of a cohesive leadership team alongside the Clinical Manager and Village Manager
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment, you will have:
- A current APC (Annual Practising Certificate)
- interRAI training or willingness to gain competency
- Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and share knowledge with your team
- A kind, compassionate, and driven approach to delivering exceptional care
- Flexibility to share the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as part of a village roster and attend key events when needed
