Audit Manager

This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role in delivering independent assurance across the business, helping to strengthen risk management, governance, and internal controls. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will lead end-to-end audit engagements, provide valuable insights, and support the continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function.
What You'll Do
- Lead and deliver end-to-end internal audit engagements, ensuring audits are completed to a high standard, within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Identify and assess key business risks and controls, providing meaningful insights and recommendations that support effective decision-making.
- Develop audit scopes, testing strategies, work programs, and audit reports in line with Internal Audit methodology and professional standards.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, risk teams, and audit partners to support effective audit outcomes and promote the value of Internal Audit.
- Monitor and follow up on audit actions, ensuring agreed remediation activities are completed and risks are managed within tolerance levels.
- Contribute to audit planning activities by helping identify emerging risks and areas of focus across the business.
- Coach, mentor, and support the development of other team members, contributing to a high-performing and collaborative audit function.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Internal Audit, including the use of data analytics, technology, and best-practice audit approaches.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or a related assurance role within a complex corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and internal auditing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead audit engagements, analyse complex information, and deliver practical, risk-based recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience building trusted relationships and working collaboratively with business leaders, risk functions, and audit partners.
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of regulatory and governance requirements
- Experience using data and analytics to enhance audit planning, testing, and reporting activities.
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as IIA, CA, or CPA are highly regarded.
