Catering Assistants

We are currently looking for 2 x Catering Assistants to join our kitchen team at Coastal Villas Retirement Village in the heart of the Kapiti Coast.

Catering Assistant 1

• Monday to Thursday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
• Total: 12 hours per week

Catering Assistant 2

• Friday: 10:30am – 7:00pm
• Saturday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
• Sunday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
• Total: 14 hours per week

As a Catering Assistant, you will:

• Support the chef with meal preparation and service for approximately 75 residents
• Help with Lunch Service in the Dining Room
• Deliver meals to residents and assist in the café
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Assist with dishes, rubbish removal, and general kitchen cleaning
• Provide friendly and positive service to residents

What we’re looking for

• Ability to work safely in a busy commercial kitchen
• A flexible, reliable, and team-focused attitude
• Someone who can stay calm under pressure
• Willingness to assist with functions or provide cover shifts when required
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not essential – full training provided
