I’m excited to be partnering with a government agency to recruit an experienced and highly organised Project Coordinator to join a significant transformation programme focused on improving service delivery and outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.

This is a great opportunity to step into a complex, high-impact environment where you’ll work closely with programme leadership, governance groups, and delivery teams to help keep everything running smoothly and on track.

About The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting programme delivery by providing coordination, governance, and reporting support across a portfolio of work.

This is a varied role where you’ll be at the centre of activity, enabling programme leads and stakeholders to focus on delivery while you ensure planning, documentation, and governance processes are running effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating programme activities, schedules, meetings, and workshops
  • Preparing and maintaining programme documentation, plans, reports, and registers
  • Supporting programme planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Assisting with risk, issue, and change management processes
  • Providing governance and secretariat support (agendas, minutes, action tracking, papers)
  • Maintaining document management systems and programme records
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams
  • Assisting with onboarding and general programme administration
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of tools, templates, and processes

About you

You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys juggling priorities, and builds strong relationships across all levels of an organisation.

You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a Project or Programme Coordinator role
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Project (essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience supporting governance forums and providing secretariat support
  • Strong written communication skills, including reporting and minute taking
  • A good understanding of programme/project delivery methodologies
  • Confident stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Project)
