Resilience Manager

We are seeking two Resilience Managers to join us on a permanent basis, as we continue to grow our capability in response to evolving regulatory requirements.

ASB’s Business Resilience team plays a critical role in preparing for and responding to disruption across the organisation. We support, maintain, and uplift Business Continuity and Crisis Management capabilities to ensure our people, customers and stakeholders remain protected.

We welcome experienced Business Continuity and Resilience professionals from a range of industries. Financial services experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Te tūranga | The role

As a Resilience Manager, you’ll work across the ASB Group to strengthen Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management capability.

You’ll partner with stakeholders at all levels to ensure ASB is prepared to respond to disruption and continuously improve how we operate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining fit-for-purpose Business Continuity and Crisis Management frameworks
  • Providing practical advice, guidance and training to stakeholders
  • Supporting the delivery of business continuity and crisis response planning
  • Designing and delivering scenario-based exercises
  • Supporting response to real events to minimise impact to our people and customers

Beyond this, you will:

  • Drive continuous improvement across resilience capability and frameworks
  • Monitor and challenge resilience practices, including plans, controls and third-party readiness
  • Contribute to crisis response and broader resilience uplift initiatives across the bank
  • Maintaining effective 24/7 crisis response readiness (on-call required)

This role offers strong exposure across the enterprise and the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Business Resilience function.

You’re a collaborative and commercially aware resilience professional who can engage stakeholders and drive meaningful outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and/or Crisis Management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience providing guidance, training and advisory support
  • Experience delivering continuous improvement in large or complex environments
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to regulatory requirements such as BS11, Deposit Takers Act or CPS230
  • Industry certifications (e.g. BCI, ISO22301)
