Channel Partnerships Manager, POS & Payment

Supay is a NZ payment technology company helping merchants access smarter POS and payment solutions. We're looking for a Channel Partnerships Manager to build and activate strategic partnerships with POS providers, distributors, EFTPOS resellers, and other merchant-facing partners across New Zealand.

The Role

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role. You'll identify and approach channel partners, structure cooperation opportunities, and work with partners to convert their existing merchants into active Supay customers — from first conversation through to payment activation.

The role may be structured as a flexible commercial engagement depending on experience and availability.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and prioritise channel partners (POS providers, distributors, EFTPOS resellers, software platforms) based on merchant base quality and payment volume potential
  • Build relationships with partner owners, sales leads, and technical contacts
  • Structure referral, reseller, revenue-share, or integration-based partnership models
  • Support partner-led merchant conversion, onboarding, and payment activation
  • Coordinate POS and payment integration between partner and Supay technical teams
  • Enable partner sales teams with materials, training, and go-to-market support
  • Maintain clear pipeline reporting and share market intelligence with Supay's leadership

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in channel partnerships, business development, or partner sales
  • Background in POS, EFTPOS, payments, fintech, or B2B merchant-facing technology
  • Strong understanding of SME merchant needs around POS, payments, and onboarding
  • Confidence engaging with business owners, founders, and technical stakeholders
  • Strong pipeline discipline and ability to move conversations from interest to execution
  • Ability to work independently with good commercial judgment

Advantages

  • Existing NZ relationships with POS providers, EFTPOS resellers, or hospitality/retail tech partners
  • Knowledge of the NZ POS, fintech, and SME merchant ecosystem
  • Mandarin or other Asian language capability
