About the job

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Construction Labourer to join our team of everyday heroes here in Christchurch.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be out on site supporting a range of civil construction activities and helping deliver essential infrastructure for our communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Operating Class 2 vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to site
  • Supporting the crew with general civil construction and labouring tasks
  • Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of infrastructure across Christchurch
  • Operating small plant, tools and equipment (we’ll provide training where needed)
  • Maintaining a strong focus on quality, compliance, and health & safety

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in civil construction, labouring, or water services
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
  • Good level of fitness and a genuine commitment to health & safety
  • Full Class 1 and Class 2 licences with confidence operating tippers or similar vehicles
  • A positive, proactive mindset and willingness to learn

As part of our recruitment process, preferred candidates will need to complete pre-employment checks to our satisfaction. These may include a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction check, medical assessment, and drug & alcohol testing.
