Supply Chain Planner
Hunter Campbell
About the Company
Zeagold Nutrition is one of New Zealand’s leading egg producers and processors, supplying retail, foodservice, and export markets from a network of farms and processing sites across the country. The business is in an active period of network development and is investing in its planning capability to support continued growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Logistics and Supply Manager, the Supply Chain Planner takes ownership of Zeagold’s forward supply plan across a complex, multi-site network. The role sits at the centre of the S&OP process, connecting farm supply, production scheduling, inventory management, and customer fulfilment. It requires someone who can read a fast-moving picture, make sound decisions, and push back when the plan does not stack up.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and adjust a forward shell egg supply forecast using Power BI and agreed planning parameters
- Schedule and coordinate grading across 2-4 internal sites and 10+ external grading sites and farms
- Develop weekly production plans for processed egg products based on raw materials, forecasts, and stock balances
- Monitor shell egg and processed product inventory against days cover targets, managing short-dated and aged stock
- Execute shell egg replenishment plans using DRP across all distribution centres
- Plan, order, and allocate packaging inventory to ensure production continuity
- Lead weekly and monthly supply meetings to align supply with demand across the network
- Identify risks to the supply plan and escalate with clear, well-reasoned recommendations
- Contribute to continuous improvement across scheduling processes and planning systems
Key Skills & Experience Required
- 3+ years in a planning role, ideally within FMCG, food, or primary sector; fast-paced production environments considered
- Solid working knowledge of S&OP and demand/supply planning methodology
- Advanced Excel essential; D365 and Power BI experience advantageous
- Comfortable working with data and confident translating analysis into clear recommendations
- The confidence to know when you are right and to push back constructively when needed
- Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across production, sales, and logistics teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, analytics, or a related discipline preferred
What’s In It For You
This is a multi-layered planning role with real operational scope, not a support function. You will be embedded in the S&OP process, managing a genuinely complex supply network, and working directly with senior leadership to keep the plan on track. If you are a sharp, commercially minded planner who wants ownership and is comfortable calling it when something does not add up, this is a strong platform to do it.
- Competitive remuneration commensurate with experience
- Active network development creating real scope for growth
