Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi – About the Role
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching learners and supporting them to succeed.
In this role, you’ll support ākonga to build essential reading, writing, and study skills for success in further education and employment.
You will deliver literacy and study skills within our Bridging Level 3–4 programmes, including:
- Teaching academic literacy, writing, and study skills
- Supporting adult learners to build confidence and capability
- Creating engaging, learner-centred teaching environments
- Providing meaningful assessment, feedback, and guidance
- Working collaboratively with tutors, support teams, and stakeholders
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako – Skills and Experience
You’ll bring:
- Experience teaching literacy or study skills (ideally with adult learners)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A learner-centred, inclusive approach
- Confidence using digital tools and teaching technologies
- A relevant tertiary qualification (teaching qualification preferred or willingness to complete)
You’ll also be:
- Collaborative, approachable, and supportive
- Passionate about improving learner outcomes
- Committed to equity and culturally responsive practice
