Reporting to the Team Leader - Property Assessment, this hands-on role is responsible for conducting residential property assessments, identifying condition-based issues, completing minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and building code standards. Working independently across your region, you'll draw on your experience in construction or maintenance to assess the condition of our homes, engage effectively with tenants, and contribute reliable property data that informs asset decisions.

With increasing demand, the work is fast-paced and high volume, and offers opportunities to work autonomously, travel, and contribute meaningfully to public housing outcomes.
In this role you'll be responsible for managing your own daily schedule and working directly with tenants in their homes. This is a hands-on, practical position which will see you carrying out minor maintenance works such as servicing heat pumps as well as completing formal assessments for more significant maintenance repairs. You'll be able to speak both the building and construction language, as well as communicating effectively and respectfully with our tenants to get the job done.
